Make-Up Monday: January Review

I got lots of great goodies over Christmas and now is finally the time to share my review!

Milani Contour and Highlight Cream and Liquid Duo in Fair to Light:

I have been looking for a great liquid highlight and contour duo but it has definitely been hard to find a product that goes with my fair complexion but doesn't over or under do it. Now this duo from Milani is pretty good. It combines cream contour with a liquid luminous highlight. The highlight is a bit too light and it was hard to really see the highlight it was creating, I suggest either going with the next color level or finishing the look with a highlighting powder over the top. Now for the contour I suggest using the dots method rather than going with a straight line. It will allow you to blend more easily and not give any harsh lines but I really like how the color looked.

Sephora Collection Pro Fan Brush #65:

My loving boyfriend knew just how much I wanted a fan brush and braved Sephora for me! *blush* I am excited to say it is excellent and I love how easy it is to use. Honestly I thought it may be difficult to hit the spots I wanted it for since it is thin but it was perfect, particularly for highlighting! A must have!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream 3 Pack:

My sister gifted me this lovely NYX soft matte 3 pack and I was interested to try them since the colors are so different from what I usually use! It came with (from left to right) Cairo, Berlin, and Vancouver. I think I definitely need to pair the brown shades with a light eye or a simpler look, the Vancouver is very dark but I love it. It's definitely a bold color choice but I give all there a thumbs up!

Anastasia Beverly Hill Modern Renaissance:

I have been dying to finally get the Anastasia Beverly Hill Modern Renaissance eye pallet for ages and all I have to say is.. AMAZING! The pigmentation of all the colors is just wow. Spot on and beautiful, plus the way it goes on is so light and smooth. I don't feel like I caked my eye with tons of product just to try and get that certain look or color. I highly recommend this if you're a big make-up fan, but it is spendy so that is definitely something to keep in mind.

I played around with a mix of colors that I thought would pair nicely on the eye pallet and I think overall it ended up turning into such a pretty look!
