Birthday Weekend Shenanigans

So thankful to celebrate another turn around the sun on the weekend of the 13th! I spent the weekend surrounded by loved ones, great food and drinks and seeing The Head and The Heart at Marymoor Park! It felt imperative to share all my food recommendations plus some tips and tricks if you’re attending a concert for the first time at Marymoor Park like I was.

FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS

Breakfast in Tacoma:

  • Brewers Row: A great Mexican food spot right next door to Cooks Tavern with some stellar breakfast burritos.

  • Cooks Tavern: Honestly everything is so so good but their biscuits and gravy is pretty amazing.

  • Dirty Oscar’s Annex: A highly recommended local spot with great signature drinks!

Lunch or Dinner in Snohomish:

  • Oxford Saloon

  • Piccadilly Circus Pub

  • The Repp: Amazing food, drinks and live music! I recommend ordering their wagyu burger with bacon added. All their signature cocktails are excellent.

Marymoor Park Food & Beverage Recommendations:

Drink Recommendation:

  • Make sure to grab yourself a glass of the BeeHaven Peach Mead, I’m still dreaming about it!

Food Trucks:

  • Big Boys Kainan: If you’re a fan of Filipino fusion this is the spot for you. There is really nothing bad you can order but I highly recommend either the lumpia rice bowl, burrito or quesadilla. If you’re lucky to eat at their restaurant I suggest ordering a musubi too!

  • Full Tilt Ice Cream: You can never go wrong with ice cream!

  • The Cheese Pit: I ordered the Sweet Baby Ray’s which is sourdough bread topped with BBQ sauce, pepper jack cheese and ham. It was delicious, filling but not heavy.

Honorable Mentions: Did not get a chance to try these spots but from what I saw and heard they were delicious. Plus the long lines for both I believe is confirmation enough.

  • Dirty Dog Hot Dog

  • Incredibowls

MARYMOOR PARK CONCERTS

This was my first time ever seeing a concert at Marymoor Park and if you’re like me and appreciate helpful tips I have you covered!

What to pack?:

  • Before you run out the door make sure to pack a blanket or lawn chairs and items for all weather like a sweater or jacket, umbrella or sunscreen.

Arrive early and cement your view:

  • We arrived early enough that we not only got a prime parking spot, parking is $10, but we also got an amazing vantage point on the hill!

Grab food and drinks upon arrival:

  • Once you’ve cemented your view hit up one of the multiple food trucks, see recommendations above. Since we were early with arrival we also did not have to deal with long lines when it came to grabbing some delicious food!
