January: Health & Fitness Update

January is just a practice month right?!

I'll say that health wise January was not the best start I've had to a new year when it comes to achieving those fitness and health resolutions.

I have incorporated a 3 baby steps to help me get onto good footing when it comes to creating a lifestyle change for the months to come.

1.) DRINKING WATER: Water is so so important to our bodies daily functions; it helps us remain feeling full, improves brain and body functions, clears the skin, and more. Plus, I have made sure to drink a bottle of water every morning with some lemon juice and I can already feel the difference.

2.) EXERCISE: Having a desk job now makes it difficult to be active, especially on busy days but it's not impossible. I make sure I try to get up once an hour and walk for 30 minutes on my lunch breaks which I've just started. I have also been exercising at the gym about 3 times a week and I feel so much better when I'm done! It makes me feel good though knowing I am being proactive.

3.) SLEEP SCHEDULE: Finally I have been trying to ensure I have a steady sleep pattern where I sleep from 11pm - 6am throughout the work week. This has been a bit harder to maintain exactly but it has also helped me stay with my skin care routine by knowing to get ready for bed around 10:30pm, self care is very important for our physical and mental health!

On February 5th I am starting my anti-inflammatory plan and I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous but I am excited to see the results which I will share with all of you when I've completed it. I am hoping to stick with this lifestyle change and create a difference in my overall health.

I thought I would share some links below to some of my favorite fitness and health YouTubers if you're like me and need a little encouragement once and a while to staying focused:
